A vote for Barry is a vote for fun
As I grind towards closure on a book procured from the Salvation Army bookshelf for two-bits, Tom Wolfe’s The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, I can’t help but recall one of the lines from the Merry Pranksters, those wacky drug-addled hippies/bohemians/beat-types/non-adults of the 1960s:
A vote for Barry is a vote for fun.
What about today? Is a vote for Barry (Obama) a vote for fun?
I suppose, it’s as the Tom Tom Club might offer:“What do you consider fun?”
After three-plus years, I’m inclined to think a vote for Barry is not a vote for fun, but rather, a vote for sad.
