John Blutarsky, Kent Conrad, and Harry Reid

Being a U.S. Senator is a great gig. Just ask Senator John Blutarsky.

But Senator Kent Conrad (D-ND) has put in his retirement papers. Why? After all, he’s the Chair of the Senate Budget Committee, something Robert Byrd might aspire to.

That’s right; Conrad is a part of the same Senate that hasn’t produced a budget for a thousand-plus days.

Perhaps the reason for Conrad’s retirement is because he’s tired of taking orders—to not present a budget for mark-up—from Harry Reid (affectionately known to some as The Reid-tard). Or maybe it’s more fundamental. Perhaps Conrad is embarrassed by

an abdication of one of the Senate’s most fundamental responsibilities—at a time when the country can least afford it.

The nation will miss your leadership, Senator Conrad.

About Professor Mockumental

I enjoy almost all forms of parody, buffoonery, and general high-jinks. Satire has shown itself to be an essential societal need; I therefore humbly offer my services in such a manner. I enjoy mocking the usual suspects at the New York Times (Charles Blows, Moron Dowd, and the earth is flat guy) and Washington Post (Dana Milkbag, E.D. Dijon, and David Ignoramus). There are many others as well, but sadly, there are always too many targets and too little time.
