Solving obesity made easy

While there’s weeping and gnashing of teeth regarding America’s ‘obesity epidemic,’ consider this:

A random telephone survey in 2008-09 combined with King County tax records showed women living in the homes in the lowest 25 percent of the assessed property values in Seattle and the surrounding suburbs were more than three times more likely to be obese than women living in the most expensive homes.

So the liberal public policy solution should be obvious: increase the assessed property values of the lowest 25 percent in order to reduce obesity. Brilliant!

While the Obama campaign is already rumored to be dropping the Forward theme, perhaps something like Government intervention: it’s good for you or Obama: Brilliant! may display improved traction with voters.

About Professor Mockumental

I enjoy almost all forms of parody, buffoonery, and general high-jinks. Satire has shown itself to be an essential societal need; I therefore humbly offer my services in such a manner. I enjoy mocking the usual suspects at the New York Times (Charles Blows, Moron Dowd, and the earth is flat guy) and Washington Post (Dana Milkbag, E.D. Dijon, and David Ignoramus). There are many others as well, but sadly, there are always too many targets and too little time.
