John Fogerty, closet conservative?

…when you ask them, “How much should we give?” Ooh, they only answer “More!”

— John Fogerty, Fortunate Son

“More” seems to be a recurring theme under President Obama, ‘cause we’re getting more government and the government wants more of your money (the President also remains amenable to borrowing more, having the Treasury print more, and having the Fed buy more federal debt). And the rate that this is happening? Ooh, they only answer… “Faster!”

For example, how big is Obamacare? It’s so big Nancy Pelosi still hasn’t read it, nor have the staffers.

How big are the government’s data grabs? So big they want to know everything you’ve done on the internet plus everything you’ve done in your car. Why? Because, it would seem, they can.

How big is the government itself? It’s so big people don’t even know what major parts of it are called, what purpose is served, or what gets done.

How powerful is the government? Powerful enough to kill Americans, with malice and forethought, and yet without standards of evidence, due process, or a trial

Our President tells us that overreach is bad. But that’s only as it concerns foreign policy. Overreach, as it applies to domestic policies, is an important part of his dogma.

War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Most transparent Administration ever.

About Professor Mockumental

I enjoy almost all forms of parody, buffoonery, and general high-jinks. Satire has shown itself to be an essential societal need; I therefore humbly offer my services in such a manner. I enjoy mocking the usual suspects at the New York Times (Charles Blows, Moron Dowd, and the earth is flat guy) and Washington Post (Dana Milkbag, E.D. Dijon, and David Ignoramus). There are many others as well, but sadly, there are always too many targets and too little time.
