Justice, Hollywood Style

In Hollywood, as the Atlanta Rhythm Section told us, the rats keep winning the rat race. (And if you don’t believe it, watch the superior Hollywood parody flick Tropic Thunder.)

How are the rats winning?

A few years ago the grossly inaccurate and pedestrian Kathryn Bigelow flick The Hurt Locker won the Best Picture award at the 82nd Academy Award. This year, several of the usual suspects on the fascist left (to include actors, politicos, and a non-fascist RINO) are attempting to blacklist the far superior and plenty-accurate-enough Kathryn Bigelow flick Zero Dark Thirty.

Zero Dark Thirty isn’t quite Argo or Les Misérables, but it’s still far superior to The Hurt Locker which no one seemed interested in censoring or blacklisting.

It’s funny—in a tragic sort of way—how Hollywood and politicians manage to consistently hit the Venn Diagram intersection of unintended irony and hypocrisy. You still got it, guys!

But as the ARS goes on to say, I’m not gonna let it bother me tonight.

I’m not gonna let Hollywood censorship bother me tonight…

About Professor Mockumental

I enjoy almost all forms of parody, buffoonery, and general high-jinks. Satire has shown itself to be an essential societal need; I therefore humbly offer my services in such a manner. I enjoy mocking the usual suspects at the New York Times (Charles Blows, Moron Dowd, and the earth is flat guy) and Washington Post (Dana Milkbag, E.D. Dijon, and David Ignoramus). There are many others as well, but sadly, there are always too many targets and too little time.
